Finally Painting
I found it very difficult to begin painting after my workshop in Ireland. I seemed to always find things to do, moving my blog, re-organizing my workspace, and all sorts of chores around the house and garden. You know the story! To be really truthful, I made the first three foundation layers, and then stopped.Today I finally made the plunge and decided to I HAD to start an additional layer. Since my last layer was dark, I decided on a light layer of yellow plus a reddish paint that had some copper paint in it. Actually, I was surprised to find that the paints from the workshop were usable, so decided to use them. These are no way done, they are stages in the painting process. These will be part of the protest series that I did in Ireland. Exploring neutrals with the primary palette red, blue and yellow.
Left basic layers, right new light layer. Although the basic layers were quite dry, some of the yellows are showing shades of green.
Love seeing your process, Carol. Enjoy! :)
beautiful.
Getting started is sometimes the most challenging part of all! Glad to see you have begun. YES!

Carol! The "stalls'! I go there all the time, circumventing painting before actually applying paint.
You did what you set out to do—you moved pieces #7 and #8 forward, exploring neutrals with the primary palette red, blue and yellow. Ta da!
Hmm, I spy two roosters in a face-off in #8 : )
